Jeanine Donofrio is a recipe developer and author of two bestselling cookbooks, The Love & Lemons Cookbook and Love & Lemons Every Day. Her veggie-centric recipes celebrate how nourishing, fun, and delicious cooking with seasonal, plant-based ingredients can be.

The New York Times said of The Love and Lemons Cookbook, “Happiness itself is tossed into every bowl,” while Bon Appétit hailed it as, “the most beautiful cookbook we’ve ever seen.” Jeanine’s second book, Love and Lemons Every Day, was featured in The New York Times Book Review’s 2019 Summer Reading List, where former New York Times Magazine editor Christine Muhlke wrote, “When it comes to getting…Americans to turn toward plant-forward cooking, my money’s on Donofrio.”

Jeanine has also developed recipes for KitchenAid, Whole Foods, Le Creuset, Anthropologie, and Crate & Barrel, among others. In addition, her work has appeared in Bon Appétit, People, O: The Oprah Magazine, Cooking Light, Self, Shape, HGTV, mindbodygreen, Food52, and more. Jeanine and her husband, Jack, cook and photograph from their home in Chicago, while their two Shiba pups help clean up the kale stems that fall on the floor.
